PCA Office in Singapore Welcomes New PCA Representative

The Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) is pleased to announce the arrival of its new Representative in Singapore, Dr. Túlio Di Giacomo Toledo, who has taken over from Ms. Fedelma C. Smith on 6 November 2020.

The Representative of the PCA in Singapore assists with the implementation of the PCA-Singapore host country agreement and the promotion of Singapore as a venue for international arbitration and PCA services throughout the region. Dr. Di Giacomo Toledo has served with the PCA International Bureau in The Hague as Legal Counsel and headed the PCA’s office in Mauritius between 2016 and 2019. Ms. Smith leaves the post after three successful years in Singapore, being responsible for opening the PCA Singapore Office in 2018 and starting to recruit additional staff locally. During that period, Ms. Smith also oversaw the organization of a number of PCA hearings and other events in the jurisdiction. She will resume her functions as PCA Senior Legal Counsel in The Hague.

The PCA Singapore Office is located in Maxwell Chambers, the hearing and meeting rooms of which are available free of charge in PCA-administered proceedings. More information on the PCA Singapore Office, including contact details, can be found here.
