PCA signed Cooperation Agreement with SHIAC
On 3 September, 2019, a cooperation agreement was concluded between the PCA and the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission / Shanghai International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC).
The cooperation agreement establishes a framework for the two organizations to work together towards the promotion of arbitration as a means for the peaceful settlement of international disputes.
On a practical level, under this Agreement, the arbitral hearings and meetings organised under the auspices of the PCA will be able to be conducted at the premises of the SHIAC. This Agreement will also facilitate the conduct of PCA proceedings in China, and therefore strengthen the already well-established relationship between the PCA and China as a PCA Contracting Party.
