The Duzgit Integrity Arbitration (Malta v. São Tomé and Príncipe)

On 22 October 2013, the Republic of Malta (“Malta”) instituted arbitral proceedings against the Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe (“São Tomé and Príncipe”) under Article 287 and Annex VII to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (the “Convention”), in respect of a dispute concerning the vessel Duzgit Integrity.  The Permanent Court of Arbitration acts as Registry in this arbitration.
